Why this works

You are not selling. You are offering a free way to get found.

Most small business owners are tired of ads that cost money and bring nothing. A free listing that sends real local clients is an easy yes. Your job is simply to make the introduction.

Free to list

No signup fee, no subscription, no contract. New profiles also get 2 welcome credits to try a lead.

Leads that fit

Matching uses their specialty and the areas they actually serve, among 161 in Quebec. No more chasing jobs across the province.

Pay only when they choose

They see the project summary for free and the price before unlocking. They pay credits only for the leads they want.

Low cost per lead

Leads start around $4.15 with the best-value credit pack, instead of paying for ad clicks that may never turn into a call.

Direct line to the client

They get the client's own phone number and email, then talk directly. There is no middleman and no commission on their jobs.

Credits do not expire

Unused credits stay in the account. There is no monthly minimum, and the optional Pro plan can be cancelled any time.

Concrete examples

Twelve kinds of Quebec business to talk to this week

Think of the people you already pay, know or walk past. Every one of these trades appears on quebec.agency.

Design & Build

Contractors, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, painters, architects, interior designers

Why they say yes: These are big jobs, so one won lead can repay the credits many times over. Every brief names the area and timeline up front.

Law & Compliance

Small-firm and solo lawyers and notaries: immigration, incorporation, leases, trademarks, real estate closings

Why they say yes: Law practices live on referrals. New owners need a lawyer in the first weeks, and the brief tells the lawyer exactly what the client needs.

Money & Tax

Tax preparers, CPAs, bookkeepers, insurance brokers, payroll and loan brokers

Why they say yes: Every new business needs all of them, and they need them early. A listing gets them in front of owners who are just getting started.

Space & Property

Commercial and residential brokers, property managers, movers, storage and studio operators

Why they say yes: Clients opening a shop or moving an office are mid-search. Brokers and movers can reach them before they sign with someone else.

Software & Web

Web designers, IT support, cybersecurity consultants, app developers, hosting resellers

Why they say yes: Most Quebec small businesses still need a site, email and IT help. Freelancers get steady local work without bidding on global marketplaces.

Brand & Growth

Branding studios, social media managers, SEO freelancers, PR and copywriters

Why they say yes: Shop owners ask for a logo and social media in the same breath as a lease. A listing puts them in the room early.

Media & Production

Photographers, videographers, podcast studios, event producers, DJs, illustrators

Why they say yes: Restaurants, shops and brands need content. Photographers and video pros are used to hunting for clients and welcome a free listing.

Food & Hospitality

Caterers, bakers, chefs, restaurant consultants, food license and permit helpers

Why they say yes: New food businesses need permits, menus and suppliers fast. Caterers get event leads from clients who already know their date and headcount.

Health & Wellness

Physical therapists, personal trainers, nutritionists, dentists, acupuncturists, therapists

Why they say yes: Independent practitioners are always filling their calendars. A free profile in their area costs nothing to try.

Learning & Coaching

Tutors, language teachers, business coaches, corporate trainers, career advisors

Why they say yes: Local, personal and often solo. They win clients one by one, so a free listing is a free new channel.

Trade & Logistics

Customs brokers, freight forwarders, warehouses, last-mile delivery, packaging suppliers

Why they say yes: Importers and online sellers in Quebec need logistics partners, and these are high-value, repeat relationships.

Craft & Making

Print shops, fabricators, woodworkers, tailors, fashion makers, 3D printing studios

Why they say yes: Makers rely on word of mouth. A listing helps nearby designers and shop owners find them.

Where to find them

Eight places to meet business owners, no budget needed

Facebook and WhatsApp groups

Quebec small business, area and trade groups. Read the rules first, share once, and answer questions instead of just posting links.

Commercial streets, on foot

Walk a strip such as Rue Sainte-Catherine, Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Rue Saint-Denis, Rue Saint-Joseph, Boulevard Charest, 3e Avenue or Boulevard Taschereau. Stop in, ask for the owner and give them your link on a card.

Chambers, BIDs and associations

Chambers of commerce, business improvement districts, trade associations and cultural business groups. Offer to present for five minutes.

Trade counters and supply shops

Contractors, electricians and plumbers gather at supply houses early in the morning. Ask the counter to pin your card.

Instagram, LinkedIn and Nextdoor

Message local pros whose posts show they take on clients. Be brief, be personal and always disclose your referral link.

Markets, co-working and meetups

Farmers markets, flea markets, co-working spaces, freelancer and founder meetups are full of solo business owners.

Your own list

Clients, newsletter readers, past colleagues and your own contacts. A personal note from someone they trust beats any ad.

Google Maps, one trade at a time

Search "electrician Laval" or "accountant Longueuil", then call or visit. Cold email lists can break CASL, the Canadian anti-spam law, so prefer a phone call, a visit or a message to a public business account.

Your pitch kit

Copy, paste, send

Three short scripts. They are honest, short and mention that you may earn a referral fee, which the Affiliate Terms require. Once you join, your personal link is filled in for you.

After you join you also get a personal QR code, printable flyers and one-tap WhatsApp sharing in your dashboard.

In person or by phone

Hi, I'm [your name]. Quick question: do you want more clients in [their area]? There's a free directory for Quebec specialists called quebec.agency. You list your business for free, and when someone posts a project that matches your trade and area, you see it. You pay a few credits only if you decide to unlock their phone number. I get a small referral fee if you subscribe to the paid plan, but the listing is free either way. Here's my link: [your personal link]

When they push back

Answers to the questions you will hear

I already get customers from Google and Yelp.

That is good, and this does not replace it. Quebec.agency is an extra channel where the client has already written down what they need. A free listing costs nothing to add.

What does it cost?

Listing is free. Leads cost credits and the price is shown before unlocking. There is an optional Pro plan at $49 a month with premium placement and monthly credits. Nothing renews unless they choose a plan.

Is it guaranteed to bring jobs?

No, and never promise that. A project can go to several specialists and the client chooses. They pay for an introduction, not a job.

I am too busy.

Creating a profile takes about five minutes. Offer to sit with them while they do it. Many owners will say yes if you make it easy.

Is this a scam?

Point to the site itself: public Terms, Privacy Policy and Specialist Terms, card payments through Stripe, and the fact that listing costs nothing.

Do they have to sign a contract?

No. There is no contract, no minimum and no obligation. They can stop any time.
