Copyright and Takedown
Last updated: Oct 11, 2026
We respect intellectual property. We handle notices of claimed infringement under the notice-and-notice regime of Canada's Copyright Act (sections 41.25 and 41.26).
Sending a notice
Send the following to contact@quebec.agency or by post to quebec.agency, [YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS], Québec, Canada:
- Your name and address, and the name and address of your representative if any.
- The work you say was infringed and your interest in it (owner or exclusive licensee).
- The exact URL of the material on quebec.agency and the location data that lets us find it.
- The infringement you claim, and the date and time of the alleged infringement if you know them.
What we do
When we receive a notice that meets these requirements, we forward it as soon as feasible to the person concerned and tell you we did so (or why we could not). We keep a record that identifies that person for six months, or one year if you start court proceedings and tell us. We may also remove content that is clearly unlawful. A notice does not oblige us to remove content, and only a court can decide whether a work was infringed.
Repeat infringers
We may close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.
Other takedown requests
To ask us to remove personal information, see the Privacy Policy. To report a listing for another reason, see the Acceptable Use Policy.
